My name is Billy but sometimes I'm called Coon Cat. It really doesn't matter which you call me as I'll be sure to appear at the sound of either name if you happen to have some food. Along with some others, I was trapped and neutered with help from Catales, then returned to the boat yard where I have been living. I'd really prefer having a real home where it is warm and dry. Last winter I had a horrible thing happen to me. My right ear was injured and a part of it froze and came off. My friend Rose has been trying to help us all find homes. Even though we now have a new wooden shelter that's warm to go into, we'd still prefer to get out of the boat yard. I was once very shy, as most Coons start out being, but I have become vocal and affectionate with my caretakers. I'm really very handsome (sort of the Vincent van Gogh of my group) and am friendly to humans. I am a bit bossy with other male cats so Rose thinks I should be in a one-cat home or with younger female cats. And since being dumped outside, I've become used to the footloose and fancy free way of life so if you want to take me home, you'll have to be real careful that I don't roam out a door and back onto the street.
