Community Cats

Show:

Due to the significant increase in the number of homeless animals in the last several years, Catales has decided to try and meet a community need by setting aside space to list cats NOT in our foster homes but in need of placement. The individual stories of these cats vary but most are in urgent need of adoption in loving, responsible and fur-ever homes. While Catales is usually full and cannot take in owner- surrendered cats, we would certainly like to help all cats find nurturing homes where they can live out their lives. There are many, varied reasons why these cats cannot be kept by their current families. And as much as we would like to place all of the cats currently in our charge, we realize that sometimes placement from one home to another can also be a good solution to the overall problem of pet homelessness.

All information provided has been given to Catales by the person(s) seeking help to find a home for their cat(s). Catales is not responsible for any part of the transaction between the current family and the prospective adopting family. Should you want a list of helpful questions to ask prospective adopters, one can be e-mailed to you. Please be aware that finding homes for cats is a time-consuming project. Adoption rarely, if ever, occurs quickly. It can take several months or longer for any cat to be re-homed. Sadly enough, it can also take years and sometimes it does not happen. With that in mind, we urge you to consider all your alternatives before deciding to add to the pool of hundreds if not thousands of homeless animals in our state.

In order to effectively post your cat, we will need information such as its name, age, color, health situation, etc. We will also need the best picture you can provide in jpeg form so that it can be downloaded into our web site. Should you eventually place the cat, we would appreciate it if you would notify us as soon as possible so that your listing may be removed from the site. To list a cat, please Contact Us..
